Ayushman Bharat

Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya yajna (PMJAY) is also known as Ayushman Bharat yajna. this government scheme's mission is to provide Health insurance cover for About 50 crore citizens in India. this Scheme is started on 23 September 2018 by the prime minister of India.

The PMJAY scheme to provide healthcare/insurance to 10 crore families, that are poor or middle income. Ayushman Bharat Scheme covers Rs. 5 lakh per family. as well as 8 crores in a rural area 2.33 crore in an urban area. and then broken into a small unit this means the scheme will aim to cover provide 50 crore individual beneficiaries.

Eligibility for Rural people

the 71st round of the national sample survey organization reveals that a staggering 85.9% of rural households od not have any access to any healthcare insurance, 24% of rural families access healthcare facilities by borrowing money.

Ayushman health cover is available to:

1. manual scavenger families
2. beggers and those surviving on alms
3. families with no male member aged 16 to 59 years
4. scheduled caste and scheduled tribe families
5. physically challenged
6. landless families who working as casual manual laborers
7. primitive tribal  communities
8. legally released bonded laborers
9. families living in one room makeshift house with no proper wall or roof

Eligibility for Urban people

In the 71st round of the national sample survey organization, it's 82% of urban households do not have health insurance, and less than 18% of urban areas have healthcare insurance.

eligible criteria are given below for urban area people:

1. assistants, peon, delivery boys, shopkeepers, and waiters.
2. transport workers like drivers, helpers, conductors, carts, or rickshaw pullers.
3. washerman and chowkidars
4. ragpickers
5. mechanics, electricians, repair workers
6. domestic help
7. sanitation workers, gardeners, sweepers,
8. handicraft worker, tailors
9. cobbles, hawkers
10. masons, plumbers, construction workers, porters, welders, painters, etc.

Application Process For Ayushman Bharat

there is no particular PMJAY registration procedure. is service provide CSC VLE so my opinion go to CSC center and consult VLE and make your Ayushman Bharat card.

and check if you are eligible to be a beneficiary of PMJAY. then follow steps

1. go to the PMJAY portal and click on Am I Eligible.
2. then enter your mobile no and fill the captcha code and click generate OTP
3. then select your state and by name/ mobile no/ HHH no/ration card
4. then search results
5. and check you can verify if your family is covered Under PMJAY.
